Many of us can recall our first job. The pride we took in earning a paycheck and the financial freedom that came with it. The relationships and social bonds built with co-workers and customers. The meaning it seemingly brought to our lives. The self-worth and identity it created. What we do for a living is a large part of who we are.
That’s why we’re committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have the same opportunity. Our organization was founded based on the premise of employment and over 70 years later we’re still giving individuals with disabilities the tools they need to experience the power of work!
Finding Meaningful Employment
Our programs and services prepare students, young adults, and adults with disabilities to enter or re-enter today’s dynamic workforce.
- Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) – An early start to career exploration and work-readiness competencies with the goal of preparing students with disabilities, ages 14-22, for meaningful and gainful employment post-graduation.
- Inclusive Higher Education – A pilot enabling individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to attend integrated programs on a college campus to improve their opportunities for competitive employment.
- Vocational Training – Immersive culinary and work-readiness hands-on skill development in authentic work environments.
- Employment Placement – Streamlined job search, practice interview, and placement services for a competitive job market.
- Supported Employment –Job coaching that helps individuals with disabilities sustain long-term paid employment success.
